I am an NMC registered midwife and work part-time in the NHS. Through my work as a midwife, I have developed a high level of clinical skills within an acute hospital setting. Working with applied anatomy and physiology, infection control measures, emergency procedures and medicines management are all routine aspects of my job. This experience allows me to bring an enhanced level of safety and professionalism to my aesthetics clients. I studied facial aesthetics at the award-winning London clinic, Acquisition Aesthetics, post qualification as a midwife and I am fully insured.
I run a mobile clinic meaning that all appointments and procedures are carried out in your own home at a time that suits you. I bring all the equipment I need with me and there is no additional travel charge. I cover North Bristol, Chepstow, Caldicot and surrounding areas. If you're not sure if I cover your area just drop me a call or text to ask.
One of the benefits of home aesthetics treatments is that they offer you complete discretion. There is no clinic to visit and no journey home worrying if your treatment is visible. Although there is no shame in wanting to preserve or accentuate your natural beauty, when and if you share information on your treatments should be completely your own choice. My uniform and vehicle are unbranded and I offer a completely confidential service to my clients.
During your holistic full-face consultation we will discuss your facial aesthetic goals. An individualised treatment plan will be created which may include treatment to the areas described below. Areas can be treated singularly or combined with other facial areas as part of a holistic treatment approach.
The glabellar complex is a group of facial muscles responsible for forming lines between the eyebrows, also known as frown lines. This area may be a particular 'problem' area for you, with early static lines and wrinkles being visible, or a natural result of years of contracting and relaxing the muscles in this complex.
Horizontal forehead lines are cause by the frontalis muscle contracting and pulling the eyebrows up. We form these lines through making a 'surprised' expression, and over time these wrinkles may remain visible even when the frontalis is not contracting.
Laughing, squinting and smiling can all cause 'crow's feet' wrinkles, also known as lateral canthal lines, to form over time. The orbicularis oculi encircles the eye its contraction causes wrinkles in this area. Although they can be beautiful features of the face, treatment to this area can create a fresh and youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a natural component of human tissue. Hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic, meaning it attracts water, creating volume/definition and adding hydration to the treatment area. They come in varying viscosity (thickness) and elasticity depending on the facial area and desired effect. As hyaluronic acid is completely naturally occurring there is no need for allergy testing and dermal fillers are simply broken down by the body over six to eighteen months.
Laugher lines, or smile lines, occur in the nasolabial fold between the nose and the outer corner of the mouth. Formation of these lines are a normal part of the aging process (and a happy life) due to repeated facial expression. Volume can be restored in this area with dermal fillers, reducing the appearance of these lines and creating a youthful appearance.
These lines extend down from the corners of the mouth and can give a sad or depressed look. Some people are more genetically predisposed to marionette lines. For others they may be a result of aging and gravity as facial tissue is pulled forward and down over the years. Dermal filler applied to these lines reduce their visibility, freshening the face.
Loss of volume in the upper face, due to muscle loss and gravity, are natural and inescapable part of the aging process. This can lead to a 'squaring' of the lower face. Dermal fillers can restore volume, lifting the face and creating a more rejuvenated appearance. Adding dermal fillers to this area can also contour the face, creating a beautifully defined shape.
Plump lips have been lusted after for decades. Dermal fillers applied to the lips can create volume and hydration in this area. As we age our lips naturally thin so this treatment may be part of your holistic anti-aging plan. Lip augmentation allows for the treatment of asymmetry or naturally thinner lips, balancing the facial features.
Filler can be dissolved by injecting hyaluronidase into the area. This enzyme breaks down hyaluronic acid, reversing the effects of dermal filler.
Skin boosters have been dubbed the 'injectable moisturiser'. They may be recommended if your skin quality requires improvement before other treatments can be started, or for clients who aren't quite ready for dermal fillers but want facial rejuvenation beyond what can be achieved with skincare alone. I have carefully selected three skin boosting treatments that I believe to be the best on the market. If you have specific clinical needs then I'm happy to explore other treatment options with you.
